Happy International Whiskey Day! To honor this, I’m going to go over some of my favorite whiskeys I’ve had recently.
- Angel’s Envy Rye: finished in rum casks, this wonderfully marries the spiciness of rye with the sweet funkiness of rum.
- Whistlepig Old World: this is a blend of 12 year old whiskeys that have been finished in various barrels. It’s delicious. Get you some.
- Rittenhouse Rye BiB: 100 proof deliciousness. Makes for an unbelievable Manhattan. Pairs well with homemade pear-ginger bitters (more to come on that).
