My wife and I got into Las Vegas late last night (1am local time!), and before retiring for the evening we wanted a snack and maybe a nightcap.
We’re staying at the New York New York (review to come soon, probably) and the obvious choice is Tom’s Urban. They’re all about small snacks and staying up late. And their drink game is strong too.
I should first note that one doesn’t go to Tom’s Urban for a craft cocktail. Their drinks have sugar, and color, and that’s fine. There is a time and a place for that, and when your body thinks it is almost 2am that is as good a place as any.
I ordered their Mule Kick, which is basically a Moscow Mule. It uses New Amsterdam vodka which is fine. You don’t taste it but you can feel it, which is the mark of a decent vodka. The star of the show was the mixing of lime and ginger. Fresh lime juice was used, and the ginger soda they used is SPICY. It was great.
The pork belly taco I had was good too.
